Strong performances can't enliven Waititi's thematically anemic, saccharine satire about a 10-year-old Hitler Youth whose imaginary friend is a goofy Führer and whose wacky but heroic mom is sheltering a Jewish girl. Seriously, The Pianist has more actual laughs.
