Alex Garland follows up Ex Machina with this more expansive (and more effective), female-driven sci-fi/body-horror/mystery that owes much to Tarkovsky, Carpenter, Cronenberg, and Rod Serling, yet still manages to feel compellingly original. The first rate cast makes each woman on the team distinctive.
